In a bid to end the menace of illegal mining in the country, the federal government has commissioned the Mines Marshals.
The Mines Marshals was drawn from the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).
The Mines Marshals will also tackle the problem of smuggling of mineral resources from the country.
The commissioning ceremony was held at the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development in Abuja on Thursday, March 21.
