N50 Million Ransom Demanded As Unknown Gunmen Abduct Enugu FRSC Official

An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Emeason Chima, has been abducted by unknown gunmen in Nsukka, Enugu State, with a ransom demand of N50 million.

Chima, who serves with the RS4.211 Ugbokolo unit, was taken on Saturday near Maduka University.

According to an internal FRSC memo, he was driving alone in his Toyota sedan when the incident occurred. The kidnappers later contacted the Ugbokolo unit commander, Emmanuel Al-Hassan, using Chima’s phone to demand the ransom.

The memo, signed by Emmanuel Al-Hassan, stated: “The Command has received information about the abduction of SRMA Emeason Chima.

“Location of the incident: near Maduka University, Nsukka Enugu Road via OPI junction, Enugu State. It has been confirmed that the staff member was alone in a Toyota sedan at the time of the abduction.

“The unit commander has been contacted by the kidnappers using the staff member’s phone, with a demand of 50 million naira as ransom.

“Further details will be provided as they emerge. This information is forwarded for your awareness and guidance, sir.”
