Success Nwabueze Onyekachi, the publisher of NaijaDailyNews247 and a former Special Adviser on Social Media to a previous Abia State Governor, has reportedly been abducted from his office in Umuahia, Abia State.

Onyekachi’s disappearance has sparked public concern, with friends, colleagues, and social media users demanding answers about his sudden and mysterious absence.

Sources indicate that Onyekachi was forcibly taken by unidentified individuals from his office in Umuahia. It is reported that one of those involved claimed to be affiliated with the Department of State Services (DSS), though DSS officials have yet to release a statement regarding the incident.

His family and friends have been unable to reach him since the abduction, leaving them deeply concerned. This disappearance has drawn numerous reactions, particularly on social media, where Onyekachi’s associates and supporters have voiced frustration over what they view as an alarming development in Abia State.

On Facebook, a close friend and colleague, Jude Chijioke Ndukwe, shared a heartfelt post expressing his worry and condemning the incident. He wrote, “It is despotic and tyrannical to make a citizen disappear without a trace in Abia. What is Abia State turning into? Where is Onyekachi Nwabueze?”

A review of Onyekachi’s recent social media activity reveals his last post on Facebook was made on October 29, where he shared his thoughts on the state of insecurity in Nigeria. In the post, he referenced the growing threat of unknown gunmen and even noted that Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo appeared concerned about the issue. “Prof, hide your head ooo,” he commented, hinting at the widespread fear that the problem has created among citizens and officials alike.

The timing of this post has left some speculating if it might be linked to his disappearance, though no concrete connections have been established.

As the community searches for answers, SaharaReporters contacted the Abia State Police Command for information on Onyekachi’s disappearance. However, the Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Police, Chinaka Maureen, stated that she had no information on the case at this time. She advised Onyekachi’s family and friends to formally report the case to the nearest police station to ensure proper action.

This situation has left many in Abia State and beyond concerned about Onyekachi’s well-being, as questions about his abduction, the potential involvement of security agencies, and the state’s response remain unanswered.
