A senior Hamas official has called on the United States, under Donald Trump’s leadership, to reconsider what he described as “unconditional support” for Israel in the Gaza conflict.
“The U.S. must end this unconditional backing of the Zionist entity, as it compromises both the future of our people and the region’s security and stability,” stated Bassem Naim, a Hamas representative, during an interview with AFP.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has extended his congratulations to Donald Trump on his apparent reelection victory, saying Trump’s return to office would solidify the strong alliance between the U.S. and Israel.
Although the election result is yet to be officially declared, polling stations have closed, and Donald Trump appears to be on the path to victory.
