Tinubu Names Mu’azu as Chief Medical Director of Rashid Shekoni Teaching Hospital

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Dr. Salisu Mu’azu Babura as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Rasheed Shekoni Federal University Dutse Teaching Hospital, with the appointment effective as of October 31, 2024, as confirmed by the Federal Ministry of Health.

Previously, Dr. Mu’azu served as Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Health and is currently enrolled in the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos.

The Minister of Health, on behalf of the federal government, conveyed best wishes to Dr. Mu’azu for a successful term in his new role as CMD.

In related news, the Federal Government has approved the establishment of a teaching hospital in Akure, Ondo State, to support medical education programs at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA). President Tinubu directed Health and Social Welfare Minister Prof. Mohammad Pate to initiate plans for this facility.

Following this, Prof. Pate assigned a team to review the proposed site in Ondo State, led by Dr. Jimoh Olawole Salaudeen, Director of Hospital Services at the Federal Ministry of Health, to assess the FUTA campus area designated for the hospital.
