Tragedy In Ogbomoso As Trailer Crushes Mother, Two Daughters To Death [PHOTO]

A tragic accident in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, has claimed the lives of a middle-aged woman, identified as Kudirat, and her two young daughters, Mariam, aged 13, and Azeezat, aged 10.

The fatal incident occurred on Wednesday night in the Apake area of the town.

According to reports, Kudirat and her daughters were returning home from their shop in the Takie area at around 11 p.m. They had hired a commercial motorcycle to take them back to their residence in the Nana River/Atenda area when a trailer collided with them, resulting in the deaths of the mother and her two daughters.

Eyewitnesses reported that the motorcyclist carrying Kudirat and her daughters escaped without injury. However, the impact was fatal for the three passengers. Disturbingly, the trailer driver involved in the accident reportedly fled the scene before any action could be taken to apprehend him. Witnesses say attempts were made to pursue the driver, but he managed to evade capture.

The remains of the victims have since been taken to a local morgue, where they await further arrangements. Efforts to contact the Oyo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Rosemary Alo, for a formal statement on the incident have so far been unsuccessful.

This tragic accident has left the community of Ogbomosho in deep sorrow, highlighting ongoing safety concerns for road users in the area.
