Ikenga Ugochinyere Alleges Secret Talks Between PDP Leaders and APC
Ikenga Ugochinyere, a member of the House of Representatives, has raised serious concerns about alleged secret meetings between leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Ugochinyere, who represents the Ideato Federal Constituency in the House, took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal the information.
The lawmaker specifically pointed fingers at the national chairman of the PDP, Amb. Umar Damagum, and the party’s secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, accusing them of clandestinely meeting with APC leaders and betraying the interests of their own party. He expressed alarm that these secretive dealings could mark the beginning of a dangerous shift in the PDP’s direction.
Ugochinyere’s post reads: “When the national chairman and secretary of a political party meet secretly with the ruling government, you know that irredeemable doom awaits that party if they don’t act swiftly to remove these political outlaws.”
He went on to accuse the PDP leaders of preparing to hand over the party to the APC, calling it a shameful act motivated by personal gain. “Now, they want to officially hand over the PDP to the APC without any shame, just for a pot of porridge. If we don’t stop these shameless political traitors, the end story of the PDP could be worse than that of the ANPP or AD.”
Ugochinyere’s alarming statement has sparked controversy and raised questions about the future of the opposition party. His call for immediate action to remove what he describes as “political traitors” reflects the growing tension within the PDP, as members grapple with the party’s direction and leadership.
