Moses Bliss Reveals Why Ebuka Songs Left Spotlight Nation Before His Contract Ended

Nigerian gospel singer and founder of Spotlite Nation, Moses Bliss, has finally addressed the departure of former signee Ebuka Emmanuel Hillary, popularly known as Ebuka Songs.

Speaking at a press conference during The Experience 2024 music concert, Bliss shared his perspective on the matter, revealing that Ebuka’s exit from the label was a result of him leaving before the expiration of his contract.

Bliss explained that Ebuka had signed a three-year contract with Spotlite Nation but chose to leave the label after just 11 months. Despite the early termination of the agreement, Bliss emphasized that there are no hard feelings between them. “Me and Ebuka Songs? There are no issues between us. Of course, he was signed to Spotlite Nation. He just said he wanted to do things on his own,” Bliss remarked.

The gospel artist further clarified that while the contract was still valid, he respected Ebuka’s decision and supported his desire to pursue his own path in music. “Our contract didn’t end when it was supposed to end. It was a three-year contract. I think 11 months into it, he said he wants to do his music alone. I prayed about it and I said, ‘You can go’,” Bliss explained.

Bliss made it clear that there were no lingering grievances, stressing that the overarching goal is to spread the gospel and elevate Jesus through music. “We hold no grudge against him. The goal is for Jesus to be seen. Our goal is to give people the opportunity to minister the gospel,” he said.
