Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has assured that the people of the state will reciprocate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support and policies in the upcoming 2027 elections.
He emphasized that the Federal Government’s various social intervention programs have significantly impacted the lives of the state’s residents, particularly in addressing poverty and hunger.
Governor Namadi commended the Federal Government for its commitment to improving citizens’ welfare through initiatives under the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP). These include the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT), N-Power, School Feeding Program, and the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), which aim to uplift disadvantaged Nigerians.
Speaking at the official launch of the distribution of ATM cards for beneficiaries of the second phase of the Federal Government’s Cash Transfer program in Dutse, the state capital, Namadi highlighted that approximately 23,000 underprivileged individuals in Jigawa State would receive financial assistance. Each beneficiary will receive ₦75,000 to support their livelihoods and businesses.
“This initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Initiative,’ designed to empower vulnerable Nigerians and enhance their economic well-being,” the governor stated.
He further expressed confidence that the people of Jigawa, known for their culture of gratitude, would acknowledge the administration’s efforts. “Our people have a tradition of appreciating good deeds with equal kindness. I am confident they will respond positively to the support they are receiving,” he added.
Governor Namadi also extended gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries, assuring that Jigawa State remains committed to strengthening its collaboration with the Federal Government. He reiterated his administration’s dedication to implementing policies that improve citizens’ quality of life while fostering sustainable development in the state.
As the Federal Government continues to roll out socio-economic programs, the governor reaffirmed his support for initiatives that drive national progress, ensuring that Jigawa remains an active participant in the country’s development agenda.
