Atiku Meets El-Rufai, Bindow, Others [Photos]

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar recently hosted the immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, at his residence.

The gathering, which took place on Sunday night, was revealed in a post shared on Atiku’s social media page.

Also present at the meeting were former Adamawa State Governor Jibrilla Bindow and prominent businessman Musa Halilu, the Dujima Adamawa.

Atiku expressed his delight over the meeting, describing it as a stimulating engagement following their Iftar (breaking of fast) meal. He wrote:

“After tonight’s Iftar, I received in audience former Governor of Kaduna State, @elrufai, former Governor of Adamawa, Jibrilla Bindow, and Musa Halilu, Dujima Adamawa. Our robust discussions were the dessert of the meal. #RamadanKareem”

El-Rufai’s Series of Political Visits Raise Speculations

El-Rufai has been actively engaging with key political figures in recent days, sparking fresh discussions about his next political move. Following his meeting with Atiku, the former Kaduna governor also visited former Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, and influential cleric, Pastor Tunde Bakare, in Lagos.

His media adviser, Muyiwa Adekeye, confirmed the meeting in a social media post, stating:

“Malam Nasir @elrufai was in Lagos today to visit Ogbeni @raufaregbesola and Pastor Tunde Bakare.”

This visit comes shortly after El-Rufai met with former President Muhammadu Buhari in Kaduna, further fueling speculations about potential political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections.

With these recent engagements, political analysts are closely watching El-Rufai’s moves, as they could signal new alliances or ambitions within Nigeria’s political landscape.
