Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has issued a strong warning to men, cautioning them to stay away from his wife, Ashabi Simple.
The singer made it clear that any man caught having an affair with his wife would face severe consequences.
Portable’s statement comes in reaction to Nollywood actor Babatunde Bernard Tayo, also known as Baba Tee, who recently admitted to having an affair with his colleague Ijoba Lande’s wife, Darasimi. The revelation, which sparked controversy in the entertainment industry, prompted Portable to express his disapproval.
In a series of voice notes shared on Instagram, the Zazu crooner condemned Baba Tee’s actions, expressing disappointment in the actor. He stated that he had always respected Baba Tee and never expected such behavior from him.
Portable’s Reaction to Baba Tee’s Confession
Addressing the issue, Portable questioned Baba Tee’s morality, asking why he would engage in an affair with another man’s wife despite being a well-known personality.
“Baba Tee, with the way I respect and admire you, you shouldn’t be involved in such things. How can you sleep with someone else’s wife? Is that how things are done in the movie industry?” Portable said.
He went on to emphasize the consequences of infidelity, warning that anyone who attempts to get close to his wife would face dire repercussions.
“I swear to God, if anyone tries such with my wife, they will not survive it. My wife is an actress, and if I see anyone misbehaving around her, they will regret it. This is not how things should be done,” he added.

Portable further elaborated on his views, stating that men who engage in relationships with married women invite misfortune upon themselves. According to him, infidelity causes setbacks and ruins destinies.
“A man who knowingly sleeps with another man’s wife is only bringing bad luck upon himself. There are so many women in the world, yet some men still choose to go after those who are married. That is a disgraceful act,” he said.
The singer also revealed his close relationship with Baba Tee, explaining that they often visited each other. He expressed concern that such actions could destroy their friendship and create unnecessary animosity.
Portable concluded his message by pleading with Baba Tee to put an end to such behavior, urging him to uphold moral standards and avoid being dragged into scandals.
“Egbon, please, stop this. It is not good. I’m telling you because I care about you. No matter what, sleeping with another man’s wife is unacceptable. The husband should be the one to set boundaries, but as men, we should also have self-control,” he stated.
