Renowned Assistant Inspector General of Police Rtd, and a legal luminary, Bashorun Tunde OGUNSAKIN, AIG (Rtd) will be conferred with Honorary Doctorate Degree of philosophy ( Honoris Causa) by Tasian University Umunya, Anambra State.
The conferment is in recognition of his remarkable achievements and dedication to advancing knowledge, prosperity, and fostering innovation.
The honor is a celebration of excellence, diligence, and integrity in the life of a patriot and a national leader of high repute.
AIG OGUNSAKIN Rtd, was Chairman and Member of various government panels and headed several commissions on Police formation while in service.
He was Director of operation , Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Abuja, and Head Investigations, Independent Corrupt practices and other related offences commission.
AIG OGUNSAKIN studied at the University of Ife ( Now Obafemi Awolowo University), where he earned a Degree in Political Science and History. After his youth service, he joined the Police Force as Assistant Commissioner of Police. Not satisfied with his academic attainment, he decided to further his education and in the process of being time he acquired a chain of Degrees and Certificates such as LLB, BL, LLM, Act. Arb. (Uk).
With hard work, self discipline, and excellent performance, he grew through the ranks to become Assistant Inspector General of Police ( AIG). He was a foremost interpol and handled several cases with dexterity.
This honor recognizes his outstanding commitment to upholding the highest standards of Honesty, Transparency, Accountability, high sense of Integrity, Patriotism, Professionalism, and Creative Leadership Capacity.
The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025
AIG OGUNSAKIN Rtd, is also a two time winner of the prestigious ‘ “INTEGRITY MAN OF THE YEAR AWARD” organized Annually by the reputable organization, the Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ). Interestingly, he is the current Chairman of the Association.
