Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Barebari, the mother of Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, has passed away.
A reliable family source confirmed that she died in the early hours of Sunday following a brief illness.
Described as a compassionate and influential figure within her community, Hajiya Safara’u was widely regarded as a pillar of support. A close family associate noted, “She was a mother to all, known for her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering generosity. Her absence will be deeply felt.”
Beyond being the mother of Governor Radda, she was also the mother of other prominent individuals, including Alhaji Kabir Umar Radda, the Village Head of Radda, and Hajiya Hauwa Umar Radda, the former wife of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.
At the time of this report, mourners and well-wishers were gathering to offer condolences to the grieving family.
