The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has refuted speculations regarding the health of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Addressing the claims, Onanuga asserted that misleading information was being spread by certain online sources.
Taking to his social media platform on Sunday, Onanuga criticized those disseminating reports that Wike had suffered a stroke and had been flown abroad for medical treatment. To counter these claims, he shared a video showing Wike attending a Sallah homage to President Tinubu.
“Here is Nyesom Wike, the Minister of FCT, reported by some online mischief-makers to have suffered a stroke and flown abroad,” Onanuga posted, highlighting the inaccuracy of the rumors.
On Sunday, Wike led a delegation from the FCT community to pay a Sallah visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House Banquet Hall. The visit was part of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, marking the conclusion of the 2025 Ramadan fast. During the event, Wike presented a Sallah greeting card to President Tinubu on behalf of FCT residents, reaffirming his presence and active participation in governmental affairs.
