Veteran Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has finally responded to the recent rumors surrounding his alleged disappearance and speculated kidnapping and he did it in his usual playful, sarcastic fashion.
The rumors gained traction weeks ago after a viral video surfaced online, showing the singer’s mother in tears, raising concerns about her son’s whereabouts. In the clip, she emotionally accused a woman identified only as Natasha, rumored to be 2Baba’s new romantic partner, of abducting him.

Taking the stage at a recent comedy event hosted by comedian Acapella, 2Baba addressed the controversy head-on with humor.
“Allegedly, I have been missing. Allegedly, I have been kidnapped. So this Acapella show is actually to raise funds for my release from the kidnappers,” he joked, sparking loud laughter and applause from the audience.
