Socialite and entrepreneur, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has expressed confidence that Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State will be re-elected for a second term, citing his extensive efforts to transform the state.
Speaking in Awka on Sunday, Obi Cubana praised Governor Soludo for his visible impact across the state, noting that the governor is actively working to give Anambra a fresh, vibrant look.
He emphasized that Soludo is determined to position the state as a leader not just in Nigeria, but across West Africa and the broader African continent.
According to Obi Cubana, Soludo faces no serious opposition regarding his re-election bid. He stated, “I think for the first time in Anambra State, there may not be a contest. This is a walkover because the governor is fulfilling his promises to create a new Anambra State.”
Reflecting on Soludo’s ambition, Obi Cubana continued, “When we first met with him, he said he wasn’t focusing on what has been done but on what still needs to be accomplished. This shows his hunger to do more for Anambra. He’s committed to positioning the state as a pride of Nigeria, and indeed, West Africa and Africa.”
Obi Cubana also highlighted some of the governor’s initiatives that have particularly impressed him, including the creation of a family-friendly “fun city” in Anambra. He described it as a groundbreaking development, saying, “I was touched by the creation of a fun city, thinking about the kids, thinking about the family. Right now, you can visit Anambra State with your entire family, as there are spaces for kids to enjoy. I saw waterfalls, rides, and attractions that are unprecedented. This is the new Anambra under Chukwuma Soludo.”
He concluded by reaffirming his belief that the transformation of Anambra is truly possible under the leadership of Governor Soludo.
