While the exact location remains unidentified, visual clues such as blue-painted container offices suggest the setting might be a construction site or a warehouse facility. In the video, at least 25 police officers are seen standing in formation, split into three horizontal lines, as the Chinese man moves from one officer to the next, handing each what appears to be a N1,000 note.
After distributing cash to the first row of officers, the man hands the remaining bundle of money to a woman, possibly a colleague, who continues the handout.
Though the intention behind the gesture remains unclear, it appears the officers were assigned to provide security for the location. The video captures a light atmosphere, with smiling officers and background conversations in Chinese.
The incident has reignited debate over the state of the Nigerian police force, including issues of poor remuneration, inadequate living conditions, and susceptibility to unethical behavior.
