Tinubu Visits Anambra: APC Turns Airport Into Rally Ground, APGA Goes Ghost Mode[Photos]

In a political twist that has left many scratching their heads and others roaring with laughter, President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Anambra turned into an unexpected APC carnival, despite being invited by the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

From the streets of Awka to the Anambra International Cargo Airport, it was a sea of APC flags, banners, and ecstatic supporters waving with enough enthusiasm to generate wind power. Strangely missing from the scene? APGA.

Apart from Governor Charles Soludo—who appeared to be flying the APGA flag solo—the entire party seemed to have taken an unscheduled public holiday. Observers noted that even the airport tarmac had more APC members than the entire APGA secretariat.

Leading the APC welcome parade was the party’s governorship candidate, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, alongside State Chairman Chief Basil Ejidike, who both turned the reception into a de facto campaign rally. Sources say the crowd of APC faithful was so overwhelming, one could mistake it for an early gubernatorial victory party.

Political analysts are now asking: Did APGA forget their own invitation? Or has APC simply “borrowed” the crowd and the spotlight in what might be the boldest pre-election statement yet?

With the Anambra gubernatorial election set for November 8, one thing is clear—APC came to the airport with numbers, noise, and no intention of playing second fiddle.

Meanwhile, APGA might want to check if their supporters got the date—or the memo.
