Lagos Police Nab 25-Year-Old Man With Human Organs

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 25-year-old man, Samson Oghenebreme, over the alleged possession of human organs intended for ritual purposes.

According to the police, Oghenebreme was apprehended while transporting the organs from Edo State to a native doctor, who was expected to use them in money-making rituals. The arrest took place in the Odomola community of Epe, Lagos, on April 25, 2025.

Police Reveal Details of the Arrest

In a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, officers attached to the Odo-Noforija Division acted swiftly after receiving credible intelligence from vigilant members of the public. The prompt tip-off enabled operatives to intercept and detain the suspect before he could reach his destination.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was on a mission to deliver the organs to a native doctor, who would purportedly use them for wealth-enhancing rituals,” the statement read.

Recovered Human Organs Preserved; Case Transferred to Edo Police

The police confirmed that the recovered human body parts have been deposited at the General Hospital in Epe for proper preservation. Due to the origin of the crime, the case has been officially transferred to the Edo State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.

CP Olohundare Jimoh, Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, praised the swift action of the officers and the vigilance displayed by residents of Odomola. He highlighted the critical role community intelligence played in foiling what could have been a horrifying ritual incident.
