A Nigerian matchmaker has expressed frustration on social media after a lady she paired with a man blocked him, despite receiving ₦500,000 and having her rent paid on several occasions.
The incident was revealed in a TikTok post where the matchmaker recounted how the lady, identified as Shola, abruptly ended communication with the man after receiving significant financial support from him.
According to the matchmaker, she introduced Shola to the man last year, and since then, he had been giving her a weekly allowance ranging from ₦20,000 to ₦30,000.
On multiple occasions, the man reportedly covered her rent and even sent ₦500,000 to help her restock her shop.
Despite all his efforts, Shola allegedly blocked him after receiving the money.
The matchmaker also recounted an incident where the man planned to meet her at a hotel, but Shola claimed she had taken sleeping pills, leaving him to wait alone.
