Popular comedian Woli Arole has called out university fellowship leaders, often known as “Papas” and “Mamas,” for engaging in exploitative practices.
He took to his Instagram page to draw the attention of netizens to a concerning trend he recently observed.
In his post, Arole expressed his disapproval of fellowship leaders who direct fellow students and members to present them with food items as “first fruits” offerings
He wrote:
“I heard they are already calling you ‘Papa and Mama’ in the university because you’re a fellowship leader, and you’re also telling students to bring their foodstuffs as FIRST FRUIT. What nonsense!”
