Club World Cup: Fluminense mock Botafogo, Flamengo after Reaching Quarter-final

Fluminense on Monday took a jab at rivals Botafogo and Flamengo after securing a spot in the quarter-finals of the ongoing FIFA Club World cup tournament in the United States.

The Brazilian club advanced to the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup after a 2-0 victory over Inter Milan in the Round of 16.

Goals from Germán Cano and Hércules sealed the win for Fluminense at the Bank of America Stadium.

Fluminense will now face the winner of the clash between Manchester City and Al Hilal in the quarter-finals.

Following their victory, the club took to its X account (formerly Twitter) to mock their rivals, posting:

“Hi, Botafogo! Hi, Flamengo! How’s the weather in Rio de Janeiro?”This comes after Botafogo was eliminated by Palmeiras in the Round of 16 with a 1-0 defeat.

Flamengo, on the other hand, suffered a 4-2 defeat against Bayern Munich.

All three clubs — Fluminense, Botafogo, and Flamengo — hail from Brazil.
