The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has stated that no amount of insults or verbal attacks can provoke him or stir him to anger.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye made this declaration during the July Holy Ghost Service held on Friday night at the RCCG Redemption City in Mowe, Ogun State.
The revered cleric shared that, despite being frequently subjected to criticism and negative comments, he remains unwavering in his focus and is determined not to lose his composure or stray from his divine assignment.
“Anger is temporary madness,” Pastor Adeboye said. “You don’t want to be mad. Some people will try to provoke you, but don’t fall into their trap.
One of the quickest ways to destroy your destiny is through anger.”He explained that many individuals have intentionally said “all kinds of nonsense” about him in an attempt to provoke a reaction, but he remains unmoved.
“A lot of people have been saying whatever they like about me. They’re just waiting for the day I’ll lose my temper — but I won’t. I’m focused on reaching my goal,” he affirmed.
Adeboye also recounted an encounter with an African head of state who sought divine healing after medical treatments had failed. The leader, having heard about Adeboye’s ministry, reportedly sent for him in search of spiritual intervention.
“I remember a head of state somewhere in Africa who had a problem that no doctor could solve. He heard there was a man of God who could heal him, so he sent for me,” Adeboye recalled.
However, Adeboye declined the invitation, explaining that his schedule was already full. He instructed the pastor in that country to inform the president that he was unavailable.
“I told the pastor to let His Excellency know I was very busy. I didn’t want to explain that there is One Excellency who is more excellent than all others,” he said.
Despite initially turning down the request, Adeboye revealed that the head of state later came to the Redemption Camp — and on the very day he arrived, God resolved his issue.
