With the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) set to begin the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in preparation for the 2025 Anambra Governorship & Senatorial Elections, the leading Anambra South Senatorial Aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sir AZUKA OKWUOSA has appealed to the people of Anambra State to take full advantage of the opportunity and ensure they are properly registered to become eligible voters.
Zukky emphasized that participating in the CVR is a crucial step in strengthening democracy and ensuring a brighter future for the state.
He noted that the ability to bring about meaningful progress rests with the people, and that exercising the right to vote is fundamental to achieving that goal.
The CVR according to the INEC Guidelines made available to the public will run from Tuesday July 8 to Thursday July 17, 2025. It will be conducted daily across all 326 wards in Anambra State, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, excluding Mondays but including weekends.
Zukky highlighted that the exercise is intended for individuals who are registering for the first time, those who have changed their place of residence, people with lost or damaged PVCs, and already registered voters who are yet to collect their cards.
He urged all eligible residents to ensure they take part in the process, whether by registering, transferring their details, replacing lost or damaged cards, or picking up uncollected PVCs, stressing that only those with valid voters’ cards will be eligible to participate in the upcoming elections.
According to him, now is the time for Ndi Anambra to play active roles in determining the leadership and direction of the state. He reiterated that every vote carries weight and is instrumental in securing a government that is accountable, people focused, all inclusive and development driven.
