
One of the victims kidnapped during a recent terrorist attack in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State has regained her freedom.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the development in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.
The victim, Aisha Mohammed, 27, a resident of the 500 Housing Units in Damboa, was released by the terrorists on Wednesday evening around 7:00 p.m., according to her family.Her freedom followed sustained pressure from troops of Operation HADIN KAI, who have intensified operations in the region.
Aisha was immediately taken to the General Hospital in Damboa for medical examination and was confirmed to be in stable condition.The terrorists had attacked the area on July 22, abducting several residents.
Security forces say efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining captives and ensure their safe return.
