Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo offered emotional prayers for her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, during a heartfelt baby shower held in Canada, expressing hopes for a stable and joyful marriage for the expectant mother.
This touching moment followed the recent public revelation of Priscilla’s pregnancy with Tanzanian musician Juma Jux. The mother and daughter had travelled to Canada for the baby shower, where Iyabo took a moment to deliver a powerful message.

In a viral video from the event, Iyabo, visibly emotional, prayed fervently that Priscilla’s marriage would flourish—despite her own past struggles in matrimony.
“Priscilla, your marriage will work. You will grow old with your husband because in God you have married right.
If mine did not work, yours will work, for I have paid that sacrifice for yours to work,” she proclaimed.
She also addressed criticism surrounding the grand nature of her daughter’s wedding, defending her choices as a mother and stressing the importance of confronting generational patterns—especially those involving broken homes and family hardships.
“I want to encourage many mothers out there. We face so much. People questioned the wedding, asking, ‘Iyabo, why this or that?’ But I made my decision—right or wrong—and I bear that responsibility. I will never withhold blessings from my children because of life’s circumstances,” she stated.
Iyabo concluded her remarks with a poignant message on spiritual liberation: “There’s something called ancestral curses; and to break them, you must stop them.”
