The senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the August 16, 2025, senatorial bye-election in Anambra South Senatorial District, Hon. Sir Azuka Okwuosa, has assured that when elected, he would provide quality representation that would translate to economic development of the district.
Chineyelugo , a former local government chairman of old Nnewi North and former Commissioner under late Barr. Mbadinuju’s administration , gave the assurance shortly after clinching the senatorial ticket of the APC at the primary election held at the Anaedo Town Hall, Nnewi.
Hon. Sir Azuka Okwuosa, pledged to build on his achievements while he was serving as the local government chairman, so as to make the entire senatorial district feel the impact of good governance.
This was just as he promised to link the rural communities in the senatorial district with access roads to boost farming and trading, and sponsor bills that would lead to the establishment of Army and Police Barracks in the district to address the menace of kidnapping and other crimes.
Relying on his antecedents of previous scholarship programmes and annual enrolment of WAEC and NECO examinations for students of senatorial district, which he championed while in service as the commissioner of works and transport. Zukky pledges to make sure every child in Anambra South educated to gain vital knowledge, when given the opportunity.
The APC senatorial candidate said that as a local government chairman , he executed so many projects, adding that his love for the ordinary people led him to seek to represent the good people of Anambra South at the red chambers, thereby consolidating on the good deeds of the legendary late Senator Ifeanyi Patrick Uba .
