Joe Igbokwe Reveals Those Behind Killings, Kidnapping In Southeast

Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress  (APC) has absolved herdsmen of allegations of their involvement in the killings and abductions happening across the Southeast region of Nigeria.

Igbokwe also decried the incessant killings and kidnapping of residents of the region by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.

He claimed that some individuals and groups have taken to falsely accusing herdsmen in the region of the sacrilegious crimes taking place across states of the region.

According to Igbokwe, Igbos are responsible for the attacks and allegations of killings of kidnappings levelled against herdsmen moving around the region.

In a post made on his personal Facebook page, the APC chieftain wrote, “The blatant and pathological lies about the killings and destruction in the South East can no longer stand.

“It is Igbo killing Igbo, it is Igbo destroying Igboland and put the blame on Hausa/Fulani herdsmen. This is not our culture. This is sad,” Igbokwe stated.

The APC chieftain had earlier raised an alarm over what he described as growing ethic division in the country.

He wrote on Facebook, “Good morning Nigerians! Ethnic bigotry is growing hopelessly like wildfire in Nigeria, and our eyes are not open to see the danger.

“I pray that the veil covering our eyes will be removed so that we can see clearly. Make we de play ooo,” he added.
