Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has officially become the most expensive player in the history of Turkish football.On Wednesday night, Galatasaray unveiled the 26-year-old in a grand ceremony attended by thousands of fans.
After spending last season on loan from Napoli, Osimhen has now signed a permanent contract with the Istanbul giants.To secure the deal, Galatasaray activated his €75 million release clause with Napoli — a record-breaking fee that cements Osimhen as the priciest player to ever feature in Turkish football.
He surpasses previous record-holder Youssef En-Nesyri, who joined Fenerbahce for €19.5 million.The remaining top three most expensive signings in Turkey also came through Galatasaray: Gabriel Sara (€18m), Mario Jardel (€17m), and Nicolo Zaniolo (€15m).
