Chioma Adeleke, wife of Afrobeats star David Adeleke (Davido), has returned to social media nearly three years after the tragic passing of her first child, Ifeanyi.
The couple lost their three-year-old son in 2022 after a drowning accident at their Banana Island residence in Lagos. Since then, Chioma had stayed away from online platforms, even after the birth of their twin children.
However, in the early hours of Thursday, August 21, 2025, Chioma broke her silence on Instagram, sharing photos from her recent wedding with Davido in Miami. In an emotional note, she also paid tribute to her late son.
“My best friend walked with me into forever. Ify, you are on my mind and you live in my heart, always and forever. Love, Mummy.”
Meanwhile, media personality Shade Ladipo has called on Nigerians to pray for Davido after he publicly pledged to remain faithful to Chioma following their Miami wedding.
In a video on Instagram, Ladipo commended Davido’s vow but stressed that marital fidelity requires consistency and discipline. She described it as “a journey that demands effort” and urged fans to support the couple in prayers, while praising their deep bond.
