A Nigerian lady identified as @enamarachi_1 on TikTok has gone viral after sharing her experience at a Tesla showroom in Canada, where she discovered that her dream car costs a staggering ₦160 million.
According to her video, she initially walked into the Tesla store to admire the cars, only to be informed by a sales representative that the model she was interested in was priced at $140,000 (about ₦160m).
Despite the shocking price, she was allowed to test-drive the vehicle, including trying out its self-driving feature. She later posed for pictures and recorded videos with the car, describing it as her ultimate dream ride and expressing optimism about owning it someday.
Her post quickly attracted widespread reactions on social media. While some Nigerians compared Tesla’s Canadian showroom price to the inflated prices charged by car dealers in Nigeria, others praised her confidence and encouraged her to keep working towards her goal.
Social Media Reactions:
ASHÉLUX: “Why Nigeria car dealers dey sell cyber truck for 400M+?”
Uju: “Yours is coming soon. Honestly, for 160 million, it’s affordable compared to how much Nigerian dealers sell theirs.”
Officialmaypelee24: “As a girl, always try to have your own money. Never depend on a man—when you make it yourself, it’s sweeter.”
UnoAku1: “From your voice at the beginning, I just knew how it was going to end … but that must have been a wholesome experience.”
The video has since continued to spark conversations about the high cost of cars in Nigeria, the dream of luxury living abroad, and the financial independence of women.
