Kun Khalifat FC head coach, Obinna Uzoho, has assured fans that his players are mentally ready and not under pressure as they prepare to kick off their maiden campaign in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
The newly promoted Owerri-based club will open their debut top-flight season with a tough encounter against former NPFL champions, Rangers International.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, Uzoho emphasized that his team is fully prepared for the challenge.
“The players are up to any challenge and don’t feel any pressure whatsoever. It’s just another game, one we always play. That this one is against Rangers makes no difference at all,” he said.
The coach further stressed that Kun Khalifat’s focus is not limited to their opening fixture but on achieving positive results in every match, whether at home or away.
This statement reflects Uzoho’s confidence in his squad as they look to establish themselves in Nigeria’s top football league and prove they can compete with the country’s traditional powerhouses.
