Sokoto: APC Members Defect to ADC, Cite Hardship and Insecurity

A wave of defections has hit the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto State, as many members officially crossed over to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The new entrants were received on Sunday by Senator Abubakar Gada, a prominent figure in the ADC coalition.

Speaking at the event, Gada said the development was proof that Nigerians are rapidly losing faith in the APC-led government.

According to him, insecurity and economic hardship have severely impacted communities in Sokoto East and across Nigeria, crippling farming, job opportunities, and food supply.

“Our people are battling serious security threats that have destroyed farming, our main source of income. This has caused poverty, unemployment, and hunger in our communities,” he lamented.

Gada stressed that the increasing number of people joining the ADC reflects a growing desire for change and a government that can address the nation’s challenges.

“Many Nigerians are coming to ADC because they believe in our mission to rescue the country. The APC government’s poor performance has forced people to look for hope elsewhere, and ADC is providing that option,” he added.
