Ekiti Governor Oyebanji Declares Second-Term Bid, Cautions APC Aspirants Against Attacking Tinubu

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has officially announced his intention to seek re-election for a second term in office.

Speaking during the 2025 Udiroko Festival in Ado-Ekiti, Oyebanji warned governorship aspirants within the All Progressives Congress (APC) against using the poor condition of federal roads in the state to discredit President Bola Tinubu.

He stressed that Tinubu has provided significant support for Ekiti’s development, but it is unrealistic to expect the president to resolve all the state’s challenges within just two years of assuming office.

“Ekiti people are not ingrates. We reject the narrative that President Tinubu does not care about Ekiti. The president has supported us, and we are in support of him,” Oyebanji said.

The governor further cautioned that it is “wrong and unfair” for politicians, especially APC members seeking the governorship ticket, to politicize every issue at the expense of unity and development.
