Oluwo Denies Marijuana Allegations, Curses Accusers

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, has dismissed allegations linking him to marijuana use, describing them as false and malicious.

In a viral video, the monarch publicly disassociated himself from the claim, raining curses on those he said fabricated the story.

“They are lying against me. They are unfortunate people. Unless I am smoking marijuana, may God remove me from this throne. Those accusing me, God will punish you,” he declared.

The rebuttal came shortly after the Court of Appeal affirmed Oba Akanbi’s legitimacy as the Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, dismissing challenges to his enthronement.

Expressing gratitude for the judgment, the monarch said his reign was divinely ordained and beyond human interference.

“My throne is from God. No man can undo what God has established,” he stated.

Oba Akanbi emphasized that the smear campaign would not deter him from his duties, adding that his priority remained fostering peace and development in Iwoland.

“The accusations are lies meant to tarnish my name, but they cannot shake what God has already blessed,” he said.
