Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Sultana, has shared a deeply personal story about her past, revealing that she was married off as a teenager.
During a conversation with fellow housemate Jason Jae in the garden area on Sunday’s live show, Sultana disclosed that she was forced into marriage at the age of 15 and is now a mother of two daughters.
According to her, it was not a choice she wanted to make, but her resilience helped her eventually break free.
“I was married off really young as a child,” she said.
When Jason asked how old she was, Sultana replied: “I was about 15. Was it something I wanted? No, but it happened. The thing is, my stubbornness got me out of it.”
Sultana further explained that her love for self-expression, including tattoos and piercings, clashed with her imposed marriage life, and her determination to live freely pushed her to walk away.
Her revelation adds to the ongoing discussions around child marriage, women’s rights, and resilience, both inside and outside the BBNaija house.
