Hon. Natasha Osawaru, newlywed wife of Nigerian music icon 2Baba and representative of Egor Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, has been honoured with the Best Legislator Award at the 2025 National Leadership Awards in Abuja.
The ceremony, held at the Nigerian Merit House in Maitama, celebrated the Edo-born lawmaker for her remarkable contributions to women’s empowerment, education, healthcare, and youth development.
Expressing her gratitude, Natasha dedicated the award to the people of Egor Constituency. She reaffirmed her pledge to serve with “integrity, passion, and dedication.”
Her statement read:
“I am deeply honoured to receive the Best Legislator Award at the 2025 National Leadership Awards. This recognition is for the people of Egor Constituency, Edo State, whose trust drives my commitment to women empowerment, education, healthcare, and youth development. Together, we rise!”
Natasha’s recognition comes just weeks after her surprise wedding to 2Baba, a union that has kept the couple in the spotlight. Her growing political influence, alongside speculations of expecting her first child with the Afrobeats legend, continues to generate widespread attention.
