The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has commiserated with its Head of Directorate of State (DOS), Mazi Chika Edoziem, following the death of his mother after a short illness.
In a message issued by IPOB’s spokesperson, Comrade Emma Powerful, the movement described the loss as a painful blow, noting that the role of a mother in shaping lives and nurturing values cannot be overstated.
“Her passing is a heavy burden to bear, but we are comforted by the knowledge that she lived a life of sacrifice, courage, and faith,” the statement said. “The legacy of her strength is reflected in the steadfastness of her son, Mazi Chika Edoziem, who continues to demonstrate commitment to the truth and the struggle for freedom.”
The group assured Edoziem and his family of its unwavering support during this difficult period, adding that the prayers of the global IPOB family are with them.
“We ask God Almighty to console the Edoziem family, grant them fortitude to endure this irreparable loss, and grant eternal peace to the departed soul,” the statement concluded.
