A church pastor and his wife tragically lost their lives after their car was swept away by the swollen River Evoesyo while returning from church, authorities and eyewitnesses confirmed.
The couple, identified as Pastor Joseph Mbalya and his wife, were traveling in a Nissan X-Trail in Wote Town when the vehicle was caught by floodwaters in Enzueni Sub-County. The sudden surge of the river reportedly overwhelmed the car, leaving the couple trapped inside.
