Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has made her first public appearance online following widespread rumours of a marital crisis between her and her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
The screen star, who had maintained silence since reports of domestic turmoil surfaced, took to her Instagram story on Saturday, sharing a short video of herself aboard a private jet. In the clip, Regina appeared cheerful and composed as she travelled alongside her brother and a few close friends, giving no visible hint of distress.
Her calm public appearance came just days after a viral video alleged that the actress had suffered domestic abuse in her marriage. The claims sparked a heated online debate, with many social media users expressing concern over the state of her relationship with the Delta North senator.
However, in a swift response, Ned Nwoko released an official statement via his verified Instagram account, strongly denying the domestic violence allegations. He described the claims as false and malicious, asserting that he had never raised his hand against his wife.
Instead, Nwoko countered with his own allegations, accusing Regina of engaging in substance abuse and exhibiting violent outbursts that had strained their marriage. According to him, within just 48 hours, she allegedly attacked three domestic staff members and vandalized properties, including vehicles and windows, in their residence.
The lawmaker further claimed that he had made efforts to help Regina by arranging rehabilitation programmes for her both in Asokoro, Abuja, and overseas. He said she turned down those opportunities because participation would restrict her access to certain substances.
Nwoko also voiced concerns about his wife’s mental health and the safety of their young child, describing her recent behaviour as unstable and unpredictable.
While Regina has not publicly responded to her husband’s allegations, her latest post appeared to be a subtle message to fans and critics alike that she remains unbothered and in control.
In the shared video, the actress was seen smiling and laughing with her companions as they enjoyed the flight, with upbeat background music complementing the lighthearted moment.
