The Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ) has named the Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC), Dr Samuel Ogbuku the winner of the Prestigious, INTEGRITY MAN OF THE YEAR 2025. The award will be formally conferred on him by the association at a later date in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to the national president of the association, Dr Charles Okhai, the process of nomination and eventually picking the Award winner is very strict and meticulous. First , a list of thirty qualified nominees is made during our Executive Members Nomination Exercise. The list is then researched , and a list of three deserving candidates is made. Finally, the list is further scrutinized by the National Executive Council of the Association to pick the most deserving candidate out of the three candidates short- listed. So, the most deserving candidate out of the short listed three finally emerges the winner.
We therefore Congratulate Dr Samuel Ogbuku, for clinching the highly coveted award for the year 2025. It is also of paramount importance to state that the Award is not just like other Awards, this one is specifically designed to sensitize our leaders to embrace the spirit of Integrity and Patriotism.
Dr Okhai contended that no nation can attain meaningful progress without mentally integrity conscious leadership. Dr Okhai further stated that the developmental progress of a nation is intrinsically connected to the level of Integrity and Patriotism of the leadership. This underscores why we took it upon ourselves to run this crusade of getting our leaders to to embrace the principles of Integrity and Patriotism. Dr Ogbuku was chosen over other Chief executive officers in the public sector due to his consistent drive and unwavering commitment to the principles of Integrity and Patriotism. His Transformational Leadership drive and impact are undoubtedly commendable, hence, the Award.
