Rivers United have commenced preparations ahead of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
A total of 25 players resumed pre-season training under the supervision of Technical Manager, Finidi George, at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The players were warmly welcomed by Finidi and other members of the technical crew as preparations for the 2025/26 NPFL season got underway.
The Port Harcourt-based club is expected to play a series of friendly matches as part of their build-up to the new season.
Rivers United finished second in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season, just behind champions Remo Stars.
Under the leadership of Finidi George, the team will also represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League next season, alongside Remo Stars.
The 2025/26 season will commence on Friday, 22 August, 2025.
