The naira posted its second straight decline against the dollar on the official foreign exchange market on Tuesday.
According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the naira depreciated to ₦1,549.04 per dollar on Tuesday, down from ₦1,548.52 on Monday—reflecting a daily decline of ₦0.52.
Meanwhile, in the black market, it remained flat at N1,595 per dollar on Tuesday, the same rate exchanged on Monday.
Reports indicate that the naira also depreciated against the dollar at the official market on Monday, while it appreciated on the parallel market.
