Alleged ₦4.5m Scam: Netizens Flood BBNaija Sammie’s Page, Demand Refund

Nigerians have flooded the Instagram page of former Big Brother Naija housemate Sammie, demanding refunds over an alleged N4.45 million scam.

According to reports, a man identified as Emmanuel Idakoh, in a viral video recorded by well-known videographer Lucky Udu, accused Sammie of defrauding him of N4.45 million with the promise of securing a spot in the 2025 BBNaija show.

Emmanuel claimed that following the release of the 2025 BBNaija audition list, Sammie cut off communication with him.

Idakoh stated, “Hello everyone, my name is Emmanuel Idakoh, also known as Young Barby. I was scammed of ₦4,450,000 by my fellow Kogi State native, Big Sammie from BBNaija Season 6.

“After making the first payment, Sammie demanded an additional ₦1 million. If I hesitated, he would claim he had already advanced his own money on my behalf and insisted I reimburse him. At one point, he even advised me to take a loan. The lender said I would need to repay ₦1.5 million if given ₦1 million. When I discussed this with Sammie, he told me not to worry, assuring me that the returns I would gain from all this would far outweigh what I was losing now.”

As of the time this report was filed, Sammie had yet to respond to the allegations. He also did not reply to a message from our reporter requesting his side of the story.
