Tragedy has struck as Utah-based social media influencer Tanner Martin has passed away following a courageous five-year battle with stage 4 colon cancer.
Before his passing, Tanner Martin shared a pre-recorded farewell video on Instagram and TikTok, announcing his own death. The emotional message was posted on June 25, 2025.
The heartfelt announcement came just over a month after he and his wife, Shay Wright, welcomed their first child, a daughter named AmyLou. Tanner was first diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in November 2020 at the age of 25 and courageously shared every step of his journey online. Between November 2020 and October 2024, he endured more than 50 rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, along with six major surgeries. In the wake of his passing, heartfelt condolences have begun pouring in from friends and colleagues across the industry.
