Lady Calls Out Man for Spreading False Story to Damage Vendor’s Business After 21-Minute Wait

Nigerian lady has taken to social media to call out a man for falsely accusing popular food vendor, Shawarma Central, of poor service, revealing that he had waited just 21 minutes for his order.

Narrating the incident, she shared that she visited the restaurant with her cousin, who occasionally helps out in the kitchen and also runs her own food business.

When they arrived, they found a group of young men already seated, casually chatting about topics like the naira-to-dollar exchange rate and other random issues.

She noted that the men ordered three plates of noodles, each to be prepared separately. Once the food was ready, the staff asked if they would be eating in, but they replied, “just pack it.

”However, she overheard one of the guys quietly telling his friend, “I go too drag this brand for Snap. Make them just wait now—see how them waste our time,” implying a deliberate plan to tarnish the vendor’s reputation online

This prompted her to inform her cousin, who then reviewed the receipt and confirmed that the order was placed at 1:31 PM and packed by 1:52 PM — a total wait time of just 21 minutes.

Despite the relatively short delay, the customer proceeded to share a negative story on Snapchat, allegedly exaggerating the wait time in a bid to tarnish the restaurant’s image.

According to reports, he said, “I go post am for Snap make their influencers see… me self get following.”Her cousin, who was directly involved in preparing the food, sincerely apologized for the brief delay and politely urged him not to drag the brand. At the time, he responded calmly, saying, “no wahala, it’s cool.

”However, shortly afterward, the damaging post went live and quickly began gaining attention online.

After receiving private messages from the business, the man eventually took down the post and issued an apology. However, by then, the original post had already garnered significant views.

Reacting to the incident, the lady strongly condemned the act of deliberately attempting to damage the reputation of hardworking small businesses over trivial matters or in a bid for clout.

“Businesses really need to start calling out people who intentionally try to ruin them at this point,” she wrote. “You waited just 21 minutes and then lied that you waited over an hour for three plates of noodles. It is well!”.
