Renowned clergyman, Bishop David Oyedepo, has addressed his congregation ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging them to approach the upcoming polls with wisdom and discernment.
Speaking during a recent service, the founder of Living Faith Church, also known as Winners’ Chapel, stressed the importance of making informed and wise decisions.
He questioned those who sold their votes, asking if the money they received during the last election was still of any benefit to them. The clergyman also expressed concern over the decline of the Federal Character principle in Nigeria.
He said in part:
“The money they gave you in the last election I’m sure it’s still there. I don’t think any member of this church will play the fool this time. Today, you have a Muslim-Muslim ticket being promoted, tomorrow it’s Fulani-Fulani, and the next day governors hand over power to their own brothers. Why? Because the Federal Character principle has been destroyed…”
