TETFund Advances Academic Publishing Initiative with Facility Inspection in Yola

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has carried out an inspection of the Academic Publishing Centre at Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola.

A delegation from the Technical Advisory Group of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) conducted the inspection as part of the Fund’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic publishing in Nigerian universities.

The team, which included Professor Babagana Mohammed and Professor Danjuma Gambo, stated that their visit to Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, was aimed at assessing the potential and functionality of the institution’s Academic Publishing Centre (APC), following similar evaluations already conducted at other universities.

The team noted that the findings from the inspection will inform TETFund’s strategic plans to revive and support Academic Publishing Centres (APCs) nationwide, with the aim of boosting scholarly publishing in Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.

At Modibbo Adama University (MAU), the TETFund delegation was welcomed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Aliyu Mustafa, who praised the Fund’s commitment to revitalizing APCs across the country.

Also present to receive the team were the university’s Registrar, Alhaji Mustafa Migawa, along with other senior officials of the institution.
