Posting on X (formerly Twitter), the student—using the handle @meloadebanks_—shared a snapshot of his second-semester 100-level results, which showed he failed eight courses (scoring Fs) while earning As in just two practical courses.
His post came as a response to a trending tweet about students carrying over courses. In a candid and somewhat humorous tone, he wrote:
“A carryover ke? I carried the whole semester. I had to resit for all!”
When another user, @debowaleolusola, asked if he actually sat for the exams, he admitted he hadn’t. He went on to explain the circumstances behind his abysmal performance, saying:
“Yes, I didn’t [write them]. I wanted to drop out. Was suicidal. I was dancing with the devil and messing with dangerous people.”

“I cleared all except four courses, which I dropped in 300 level and retook during the just concluded 500-level second semester. I’m now awaiting the results next week Thursday.”
