Prince Al Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal, widely known as the “Sleeping Prince,” has died after spending nearly 19 years in a coma following a car accident in 2005.
A nephew of billionaire businessman Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, the young royal had remained in a vegetative state since the incident, drawing sympathy and prayers from across the Arab world.
Over the years, he became a quiet symbol of resilience and hope for many.His death was confirmed on Saturday by family sources, who also announced that his funeral would be held on Sunday in Riyadh.
